Are you 14+ with a flare for drama, whether it’s your first time doing drama or if you have experience all are welcome to join Inside Out @ The Lantern
nside Out at the Lantern is a great place to meet new friends and discover hidden talents. If you are aged 6+ 14+ or 18+ and would like to give it a try come along and join us.
As a member of Inside Out @ The Lantern you will have the chance to perform in two productions a year and take part in regional and National Festivals.
You will be able to develop a wide range of theatre skills, such as acting, physical theatre, voice production, singing, mask and mime as well as back stage skills such as lighting and sound and stage management.

Theatre School
Children’s Theatre School
We are delighted to announce that our Theatre School will be opening this term, offering Drama classes for Children aged 6 -11. Sessions will take place on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9.30 - 10.45a.m. There are just 20 places in each group, so please sign up early to avoid disappointment.
About the School:
The Lantern Theatre have a team of qualified and CRB checked Drama, Music & Dance Practioners who work to a creative curriculum that will inspire and nurture your child in a creative and safe environment. Each programme will involve the following:
Social Skills
Confidence & self esteem building
Sharing & Communication
Working as a team
Making friends & talking about experiences as a group
Modules will include:
Acting Skills - All styles of acting will be covered during the academic year
Literacy - Creative writing, classic text, poetry, script writing & story boarding
Music - Basic skills in rhythm, melody, phrasing, singing
Musical Theatre - At least one module will be a musical theatre piece that will incorporate all of the arts.
Movement - Incorporating movement with acting skills for enhanced confidence in performing
Design - Set, costume & props and posters/flyers
Dance - Choreography, movement and basic motiffs
All children are required to sign up for a whole term as we will be working towards a performance at The Lantern Theatre at the end of each term. Each session will be charged at £4 with a maximum of 20 children in each group.
Parents can pay termly (every 12 weeks) or half termly (every 6 weeks)

Price Just £9.95pp (Minimum 18 Children)
Parties at The Lantern Theatre Include…
- Private Theatre production (subject to whats showing at the Lantern).

- Party games & prizes
- Lunch for every child - A selection of sandwiches, drinks, cakes, bread sticks and fruit will be served
- Birthday song with the cast and presentation for the cake (cake not provided)
Our staff ensure that the children are entertained at all times so that parents can enjoy their Child’s party!
Additional Optional Costs
Party bags £1.50 per child (Includes a selection of goodies and a party favour)
Ice Cream (Cheshire Farm) Tub of ice Cream to eat during the Theatre performance (Theatre parties only) £1 per child
Cake (A personalised Birthday cake can be arranged for you £20)
Parents Sandwich Platter & Tea/Coffee £35 (Caters for up to 20 parents)
Parents Tea/Coffee & Biscuits £15 (Caters for up to 20 parents or £1.50 per head for any over 20)
The bar area and box office will be open during your event if parents wish to purchase and extra drinks/snacks
Our fully licensed bar will be open before and after the performance to purchase any drinks and snacks.
